Creator Corral

Calfurry's Creator Corral is a space for our community's talented artists to showcase their skills and take commissions on site. Creator Corral can be found in the main ballroom hallway, just outside the marketplace.

Information and Guidlines

• All Creators are welcome, from beginner to advanced. This is an accessible place to explore your art skills, meet other artists, and try out making your art in an interactive environment.
• Kids with Parent are allowed to participate.
• This is not an overflow or mini version of the Marketplace. The primary focus of the Creator Corral is to provide accessibility for artists of any skill level to make and share their work.
• Corral table price is $10 per Session.
• Once receiving lottery assignment, payment is accepted by Cash for quickness, and also by card online or at the con store.
• There will be approximately 16 half-table seats available per Session.
• Morning and afternoon Sessions are separate lotteries to keep things fair and equal for all Creators. Creators may participate in more than 1 Session.
• Displays must fit within your half table, with no extensions beside or in front, and not encroach on the Creator table neighbour. Please keep displays simple and easy to set up/down.
• Please maintain a tidy area while at your table. Snacking and drinking ON your table is highly discouraged. Please try to avoid any messes.

• Friday 10am - 2pm (4 hours)
• Friday 2pm - 6pm (4 hours)
• Saturday 10am - 2pm (4 hours)
• Saturday 2pm - 6pm (4 hours)
• Sunday 10am - 1pm (3 hours)
• Sunday 1pm - 4pm (3 hours)

Sign-IN Procedure

• Please be at the Corral 30 mins or earlier before Session start. (9:30am for Morning, 1:30pm for Afternoon).
• Fill out the sign-up sheet.
• 15 mins prior to Session start, registered names will be randomly drawn from a hat and assigned a table number.
• Please proceed to the table that matches your assigned number.
• For Creators currently in a morning Session, you may enter the afternoon Session lottery while at your table. A Corral Wrangler will come to all currently sitting Creators and offer an opportunity to enter the afternoon Session lottery.

Sign-OUT Procedure

• 15 mins before the end of your Session, please start cleaning up, and prepare to leave your table in a clean and ready condition for the next Creator. There is no buffer time between Sessions, so please be mindful.
• Once you are packed up and your table is clean, please sign-OUT with a Corral Wrangler no later than your end time.
• If you have to leave your Session early please sign-OUT with a Corral Wrangler. Your Session is considered ended, and may be assigned to another Creator.
• Away From Table: Check in with a Corral Wrangler if you have to leave your table for more than a few minutes. 5-10 min normal breaks are fine, but anything unusually longer is considered abandoned and will end your Session.
• Lunch breaks should be planned after or before your Session.

Table Size and Info

• Half of an 8ft table with 1 chair.
• Creators with Parent or Accessibility helper will receive a second chair upon request.
• Assistants and Table Sharing are not permitted.
• Power not provided.
• WiFi not provided by Calfurry, hotel WiFi is available.

Content Moderation

• Premade handmade merchandise types are limited to a few, 2-3 kinds, keep it simple. Acceptable types: Prints, original arts, pins, charms, small first parts, clay sculptures, 3d prints, fursuit parts, handmade jewelry, etc.
• Not-Acceptable: Partial or full fursuits, reselling items, preowned items, any food or beverages. All content for sale or commission, and on display must be family friendly and suitable for minors. No 18+ or strongly suggestive.

Management

The Corral Wranglers will be onsite and nearby the Corral to manage sign-ups, and offer support. They reserve the right to deny or end any Session if a Creator’s behaviour is not deemed appropriate. Feel free to contact them for any questions or concerns.
